What is precipitation?
Precipitation is your fancy word for something wet that falls from the sky. Precipitation can take on many forms such as; drizzle, rain, sleet, snow and haul.
Precipitation Intensity
A rough guide is that a value of 0 mil./hr. corresponds to no precipitation, 0.05 mil./hr. corresponds to very light precipitation, 0.43 mil./hr. corresponds to light precipitation, 2.54 mil./hr. corresponds to moderate precipitation, and 10.16 mil./hr. corresponds to heavy precipitation.
Precipitation Error Chance
As you well know, sometimes the weather forecast is wrong. When all the data is collated together a numerical value representing how liklely this data could be wrong is created. The error chance represents this.
What does 'Feels Like' mean?
If you see 20°C it doesn't necessarily mean it will feel like that when you step outside. 'Feels Like' takes into account various other weather data such as humidity and windspeed to give you a more accurate reflection of what to expect when you step outside.
